We’re seeking an experienced Executive Chef to oversee all culinary operations — from our high-volume restaurant the Timber Room to weddings, tournaments, and signature catering events.

**THE ROLE**
As Executive Chef, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen’s culture, performance and creativity. You will lead and inspire a team of culinary professionals while maintaining the highest standards in food quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires hands-on leadership, financial management, and a flair for both casual and fine dining menus.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Leadership & Team Development**
- Hire, train, and manage the full kitchen team
- Mentor Sous Chefs and culinary staff to deliver top-tier performance
- Create a respectful, energetic, and collaborative kitchen environment

**Culinary Execution**
- Lead day-to-day kitchen operations for restaurant service and events
- Develop fresh, seasonal menus for à la carte dining, special events, and catering
- Oversee prep and execution for weddings, banquets (100-150+ guests), and tournaments
- Ensure food presentation and consistency are maintained at all levels

**Financial & Administrative Oversight**
- Manage food and labor budgets, track costs, and maximize profitability
- Maintain food cost targets through smart purchasing and inventory control
- Schedule kitchen staff and ensure alignment with operational needs
- Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

**Health & Safety**
- Enforce all safety, hygiene, and food-handling standards
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of kitchen equipment and facilities
- Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- 5-8 years of senior culinary leadership experience (Executive or Senior Sous Chef level)
- Culinary Red Seal or degree/diploma in Culinary Arts preferred
- Proven ability to manage high-volume operations AND deliver fine dining excellence
- Deep understanding of food and labor cost controls
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
