**Job Overview**:
You are a skilled and experienced Vinyl Extruder Operator to join our team in a plastics manufacturing environment. You will have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Setup Technician in a similar setting, with a strong background in plastic extrusion. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining process machinery and equipment, ensuring that all product specifications are met and troubleshooting any process challenges that may arise. You will also have experience with quality control procedures, changeovers, and possess a strong commitment to safety.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Utilize expertise in plastic injection molding, plastic extrusion, plastic thermoforming, or plastic manufacturing to carry out job responsibilities effectively.

2. Perform equipment changeovers and process machinery setups to meet product specifications.

3. Operate and monitor all process machinery and equipment, ensuring smooth and efficient production.

4. Troubleshoot and resolve process challenges, making adjustments and modifications as necessary.

5. Adhere to company and relevant quality standards when setting up and starting up process machines.

6. Perform line changeovers, including die setups, removals, and replacements.

7. Conduct regular quality checks, including dimensional measurements, finish inspections, and color verification.

8. Maintain accurate and timely completion of quality control records, including production reports.

9. Ensure effective shift changes and communicate pertinent information to the incoming shift.

10. Organize and maintain tools and equipment related to the production lines.

11. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of production lines and workstation.

12. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.

13. Ensure all safety devices are functioning properly and enforce safety protocols.

14. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.

15. Operate a forklift as required.

16. Lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
