Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Cereal Extrusion Operator / Lead to oversee daily extrusion line operations. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience running twin-screw extruders in a food manufacturing environment and understands process control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, operate, and monitor twin-screw extrusion lines for cereal production
  • Adjust parameters such as feed rate, screw speed, temperature, and moisture to maintain consistent product quality
  • Lead and train production staff on extrusion best practices and safety procedures
  • Record process data and troubleshoot variations in torque, expansion, or texture
  • Perform basic maintenance and changeovers on the extruder and related equipment
  • Work with QA and R&D to support new product trials and process improvements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with GMP and HACCP standards

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience operating twin-screw extruders in a food or cereal manufacturing setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret process data
  • Understanding of ingredient functionality, hydration, and extrusion cooking principles
  • Experience with packaging, drying, and coating systems an asset
  • Ability to lift 25 kg and work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time, on-site
  • Day shift (occasional flexibility may be required)

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience
  • Benefits package available after probation period
