Assistant Housekeeping Manager

**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
As an Assistant Housekeeper at AC Hotels by Marriott, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of the hotel’s housekeeping operations. You will assist in supervising housekeeping staff, maintaining high cleanliness standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your role will support the Executive Housekeeper in upholding AC Hotels refined, European-inspired hospitality by delivering a seamless and sophisticated guest experience.

**CANDIDATE PROFILE**:
**Education and Experience**
- High school graduation or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and safety regulations.
- Experience in supervising or training housekeeping staff is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.

**Preferred**:

- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and evenings
- Familiarity with Marriott brand standards and housekeeping systems.
- Bilingual capabilities (English and French) are an asset.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and push/pull housekeeping carts and equipment.
- Requires bending, reaching, kneeling, and repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Housekeeping Operations & Supervisors**:

- Assist in overseeing the daily housekeeping operations, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
- Monitor room cleaning, public areas, and laundry operations to meet brand standards.
- Conduct room inspections and provide feedback to housekeeping staff to maintain high service levels.

**Guest Service**:

- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet AC Hotels' cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Respond to guest requests, special accommodations, and housekeeping-related concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the front desk and maintenance team to address guest needs and room readiness.

**Staff Training & Team Leadership**:

- Support the recruitment, training, and development of housekeeping staff.
- Assist in scheduling, delegating tasks, and ensuring proper staffing levels.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and accountability.

**Inventory & Supplies Management**:

- Monitor housekeeping supplies and linen inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of cleaning products, guest amenities, and linen usage.
- Report any damaged or missing inventory and coordinate with suppliers for replenishment.

**Safety & Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Maintain proper handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct routine safety checks and report maintenance issues to management.

**Team Collaboration**:

- Actively participate in daily meetings and training sessions to enhance housekeeping efficiency.
- Work closely with the Executive Housekeeper and hotel leadership team to uphold operational excellence.
- Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Practice the AC Brand Elevation mantras in your daily delivery approach with guests and AC family members.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
