**The Opportunity**

Bank & Baron is a high-volume pub with a strong restaurant identity and a growing events calendar. While à la carte service is the foundation of what we do, we also host corporate functions, buyouts, and ticketed dinners throughout the year.

We’re looking for a **Head Chef** who can balance:

- **Creativity and menu development**:

- **Organization and systems**:

- **Leadership and team development**

**The Role**

You will lead the kitchen day-to-day while shaping how the food program evolves.

This is a **hands-on leadership role** for a chef who understands that great food only works if it’s:

- Costed properly
- Executed consistently
- Supported by clear prep, systems, and people

You’ll collaborate closely with the General Manager and Ownership to align menus, timelines, and staffing with our day to day operations and the events calendar.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Menu & Creativity**
- Develop seasonal menus and features that align with the brand and guest expectations
- Balance creativity with execution, cost, and consistency
- Adapt menus for group dining and events without compromising quality

**Operations & Organization**
- Oversee ordering, inventory, food cost control, and waste reduction
- Build and maintain prep systems, recipes, and SOPs
- Ensure food safety, cleanliness, and consistency across all services

**Events & Special Services**
- Contribute to event menu design and execution
- Lead BOH execution for events and large group service when scheduled
- Build clear prep plans and timelines so events run smoothly

**Leadership & Culture**
- Recruit, train, and retain BOH team members
- Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable
- Foster a calm, professional kitchen culture - even during peak volume

**What We’re Looking For**
- Experience as a **Head** **Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Senior Sous Chef**:

- Strong culinary foundation with a creative mindset
- Organized, systems-oriented approach to kitchen operations
- Confident leader who develops people, not just menus
- Comfortable with both line work and leadership responsibilities
- Experience supporting events or group service is an asset
