**About the Opportunity**

We’re looking for an experienced Commercial Building Operator / Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a prominent, high-profile commercial property in Victoria.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety—moving seamlessly between building inspections, vendor coordination, tenant communication, and hands-on repairs. You’ll be the face of the property and the go-to expert ensuring everything runs safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

**What You’ll Do**

**Building Operations & Hands-On Maintenance**

You will be the on-site expert ensuring the building is always in excellent condition.
- Conduct daily inspections of buildings, mechanical rooms, and exterior areas.
- Perform general interior and exterior maintenance and repairs.
- Complete minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and small construction tasks.
- Maintain grounds and common areas (leaf blowing, power washing, snow removal coordination, etc.).
- Manage building access, lock/unlock schedules, roof inspections, and exterior cleanups.
- Load, transport, and deliver materials and supplies as needed.

**Vendor Supervision & Strategic Oversight**

You will ensure that all specialized service providers deliver quality work.
- Act as the on-site contact for contractors (HVAC, fire systems, electrical/mechanical trades).
- Supervise work to ensure safety, compliance, and quality standards.
- Monitor and document any construction deficiencies or warranty items and coordinate solutions.
- Adjust and monitor Building Automation Systems (BAS) for peak performance and energy efficiency.

**Tenant Relations & Administration**
- You will support a positive and professional tenant experience.
- Respond promptly to tenant service requests and resolve issues effectively.
- Keep tenants informed on timelines, repairs, and status updates.
- Maintain daily logs, document activities, and report concerns to Property Management.
- Follow all health & safety procedures, including proper disposal of waste and materials.

What You Bring

**Technical Skills & Experience**
- 3-5+ years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or building maintenance/trades.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Experience with Building Environmental Systems (BES) or a related trade certification is an asset.
- Ability to complete groundskeeping and outdoor maintenance tasks.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Legal eligibility to work full-time in Canada.

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

- Victoria, BC V8V 3K2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
