**Position Overview**
- The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) serves as the most senior executive for the District of North Vancouver, responsible for overseeing all aspects of government administration, financial management and human resources functions. Reporting directly to the Mayor and Council, the CAO provides strategic leadership to ensure the effective delivery of municipal programs and services while aligning operations with the District’s long-term vision and priorities. This role fosters collaboration between Council, staff and the community to drive innovation, operational excellence and sustainable growth. The CAO plays a key role in shaping policy direction, implementing Council decisions and ensuring transparency and accountability in municipal governance. As a member of the Metro Vancouver Regional District, the CAO works closely with other municipalities and plays a leadership role on a number of region-wide committees.

**Compensation**
- The current salary range for the position is $295,000-$330,000 (2024 rate), plus benefits and pension.
