**Night shift: 11pm-7am, **Sunday - Thursday**
**Afternoon shift: 3pm-11pm, Monday - Friday**
**Weekend-Days: 7am-5pm, Thursday - Sunday or Friday - Monday**
**Weekend-Nights: 11pm-7am Fridays, 7pm-7am Saturday and Sunday**

**Position Summary**:
The Material Handler - Team Lead order picks, ships, receives and records the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from our warehouse facilities in addition to providing front line support the Warehouse Supervisor through execution of daily workloads, aide in new-hire training and assisting in making procedures efficient.
**Essential Functions & Responsibilities**:
- Ensures that all safety regulations with regards to the safe operation of a lift truck (including pre-shift inspection) and safe handling of materials are adhered to
- Stages and prepares shipments in accordance with the shipping schedule and daily shipping instructions. Accurately labels and scans shipments
- Audits the condition of each shipment prior to loading. Ensures trucks are loaded properly, safely and all shipments leave on time with the necessary documentation.
- Sends ASNs (advance shipping notice) to customer with customers which this procedure applies to
- Keeps shipping packaging and stock areas organized and neat and manages stock rotation (first in first out)
- Receives incoming packaging materials returned from customers and stores it in a neat and orderly fashion. Records receipt.
- Takes initiative to assist regular inventory audits as well as spot checks, as required.
- Performs backup duties (i.e. receiving) as required.
- Keeps work area clean and safe. Creates additional space by effectively storing materials.
- Communicates to management when incoming loads arrive without proper documentation/paperwork
- Oversee and answer questions pertaining to order information
- Reports to management any damages to the facility or damage to customer or company property.
- Treats everyone with dignity, trust and respect.
- Performs tasks and responsibilities and follows guidelines as detailed in company policies, procedures and work instructions.
- Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all Health, Safety and Environmental rules and regulations. Wears prescribed PPE
- Complies with the designated SQF responsibilities related to effective environmental management in accordance with company SQF Program.
- Performs other duties as required within his abilities as requested by supervisor or management
**Job Specifications—Skills and Competencies**:
- Valid lift truck driver license in Counterbalance and/or Swing Reach
- Grade 12 High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-4 years related experience in a leadership role
- Able to speak, read and write in English
- Computer skills include use of MRP system (ASN, Scan, Shipment/receipt entry)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good attendance record
- Assigns the highest priority to customer satisfaction while meeting commitments to achieve business objectives
- Creates a positive work environment by demonstrating and sharing functional/technical knowledge.
- Responsible for promoting and seeking excellence in all aspects of business
- Capable of safe heavy lifting
- Coaching on best practices
- Leading daily work orders and delegating tasks as per the Warehouse Supervisor
