The Royal Ottawa Golf Club has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Manager who will act as a key member of the leadership team while managing all aspects of the Club’s Human Resources functions. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for every facet of the Club’s Human Resources, including but not limited to, recruitment, training and development, health and safety, employee recognition, labour relations, and benefits administration. The Human Resources Manager will also serve as a backup to the Payroll Administrator for payroll processing and inquiries.

The position requires a strong work ethic, professionalism, and is ideal for an established handyperson looking to make an impact with a renowned organization. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking for a work environment where high standards and attention to detail is key. Bilingualism, good communication, and organizational skills are essential for this position.

**Responsibilities**:

- Advises Club management on all matters relating to the Club’s collective agreement and provincial labour standards;
- Maintains a harmonious relationship with the Union while reporting all Union activity to the General Manager;
- Crafts and updates organizational policies and procedures in accordance with the collective agreement and legislation in order to ensure organizational effectiveness;
- Acts as the point of contact for all Human Resources inquiries regarding polices, procedures, programs and collective bargaining;
- Manages the complete recruitment cycle for both internal and external job postings;
- Manages record keeping for all postings and competition folders, reporting this information to the Union as applicable;
- Leads the recruitment process for all supervisory and management positions;
- Develops and manages the Club’s employee recognition program ensuring compliance and equity within the Club;
- Administers the Club’s Group benefits program including Life, AD&D, Disability, Health and Dental benefits;
- Manages all aspects of active CNESST (Worker's Compensation) claims relaying timely information between all parties;
- Collects and reviews all performance review data
- Reviews and updates the employee handbook on an annual basis;
- Chairs and acts as the management representative on both the Pension Committee and Joint Health and Safety Committee;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- A post-secondary degree or diploma is Human Resources, Payroll Administration, or business Administration ;
- Minimum 5 years’ of progressive Human Resources or Payroll experience;
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with a unionized workforce;
- Minimum 1 year of experience with group benefits plans;
- Advanced knowledge of Quebec employment legislation;
- Significant experience working with collective agreements;
- Bilingualism essential
- fluency in both English and French (oral and written);
- Strong computer skills using the Microsoft Office suite;
- Strong analytical, time-management and organizational skills;
- Strong adherence to confidentiality;
- Detail orientated problem solver;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both languages;
- Enthusiasm and team player attitudes are a must in order to succeed;
- Experience in the hospitality & recreation or service industries a strong asset;
- Knowledge of Ceridian Powerpay and Dayforce an asset;
- A relevant professional designation (CHRP/CHRA) is an asset but not required.
