Sani Gear is a family-owned business, with plants located in Kitchener, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec. We are proud for being certified annually by UL to be a verified ISP (Independent Service Provider). Our sole business is ensuring we bring the highest quality maintenance service to the fire industry in Canada for the care of PPE bunker suits.

You would support the human resources and payroll requirements for each plant. This part-time position has the potential to grow to full-time as the Company grows

**Job Duties**:

- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to employees and managers that covers absence and health issues, conduct and performance, complaints, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Develop and execute personnel procedures and policies, and provide guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Administer benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
- Suggest new procedures and policies for improving employee experience as well as the efficiency of HR department and company
- Ensure compliance with local and provincial regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and procedures when necessary
- Recruit, onboard and complete new-hire orientations
- Payroll processing, including managing source deductions, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes
- Communicate, interpret, and upkeep of employee handbook and policies

**Qualifications**:

- Bilingual is required
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in human resources, business, or related field
- CHRP an asset
- Proven success working in an HR capacity
- Payroll experience and training an asset
- Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Quebec and Ontario laws and regulations related to employment

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week
