**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technologically savvy Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. This is an in-office role requiring expertise in processing payments, reconciling accounts, and managing documentation to support the smooth financial operations of our business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Accurately enter bills into the accounting system.
- Process payments to vendors in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents, ensuring accessibility and organization.
- Perform credit card and employee reimbursement reconciliations.
- Conduct due diligence on all payments, including verifying receiving dates, checking for discrepancies, and managing payment holds tied to job performance or management.
- Assist with month-end close processes related to accounts payable.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve any invoice discrepancies.
- Support with general administrative tasks related to accounting as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role (construction industry experience is a plus).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe for document management and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms preferred).
- Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact with vendors and internal departments.
- Experience with general ledger coding, purchase orders, and invoice matching preferred.
- Technologically savvy and able to adapt to new software systems as needed.
- High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
