- **Position Overview**_:

- **Responsibilities Include**_:

- Responsible for HR operations with a strong focus on recruitment
- Coordinate with supervisors to determine hiring needs and maintain a consistent pipeline for roles
- Maintain a consistent recruitment program, including roles in screening, interviewing and hiring
- Prepare confidential correspondence including offers, contracts, and employment letters
- Training and development of new employees, ensuring completion of paperwork and training records as required
- Manage the employee orientation program to ensure employees are aware of health & safety, discipline, performance, training and development and other policies and programs that directly affect them and influence their overall success
- Maintain personnel files
- Coordinate employee performance evaluation programs
- Promote and support health, safety and wellness, including an administrative role on the Joint Health and Safety Committee
- WSIB Claims Management and other health and safety administration
- Non-occupation leaves of absence management
- General attendance management
- Recommend and assist in developing policies and procedures in support of business strategies

**_Education, Experience and Skills: _**
- 3+ years of HR/recruitment experience
- Post-secondary diploma or equivalent in Human Resources
- Strong human resource and business acumen
- Understanding of employment laws and regulations
- Experience within a blue-collar environment
- Working knowledge of current human resource systems and practices
- Ability to make independent decisions based on policies & procedures
- Demonstrated ability for discretion and confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and as a team member
- **Employment Type**_:

- Full-time, Permanent: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm
