Are you a bilingual HR professional with a passion for people, process improvement, and employee engagement?

East Penn Canada is looking for a dynamic Bilingual HR Generalist to join our Human Resources team at our head office in Courtice, Ontario.

In this onsite role, you’ll support employees and managers across Canada while contributing to impactful HR programs, recruitment, and employee engagement initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

HR Advisory & Support

- Act as the primary HR contact for Quebec-based employees and provide guidance to managers on effective communication, feedback, and team development.

- Prepare documentation for HR transactions (promotions, salary changes, terminations, performance management).

- Conduct exit and stay interviews and support job description development.

- Enhance employee engagement by building trusted relationships with employees providing an exceptional customer experience.

Recruitment & Onboarding

- Lead full-cycle recruitment for French, Bilingual, and Warehouse roles.

- Partner with hiring managers to ensure effective selection and onboarding.

- Champion the company by participating in career fairs and supporting onboarding, new hire orientation and training programs.

HR Programs & Projects

- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and initiatives.

- Collaborate on HR projects and company events.

- Champion innovation and continuous improvement as methods to improve HR and business performance

- Drive employee engagement, performance management, and development initiatives.

- Translate and adapt HR communications and training materials for French-speaking audiences, as required.

What You Bring

- 3–5 years of progressive HR generalist experience

- Fluent in French and English (verbal and written)

- Post-secondary diploma or degree in HR Business, or related field

- Knowledge of provincial employment legislation (Quebec experience is a plus)

- Strong communication and relationship-building skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail

- Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

- Works effectively as part of a dynamic team and contributes to a positive team environment
