Based in the Sherwood Park location, The Training and Development Specialist provides employees with training and development with respect to sales skills, customer service, soft skills, leadership skills, and other skills necessary for the employees to increase sales, understand of products, and provide highly effective and professional customer service.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop courses, training materials, and job aides as required.
- Responding to the changing and developing learning needs of employees.
- Align with the Personal Lines Dept. and Commercial Lines Dept. to support them to achieve their operational objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Senior Leadership, Supervisors, and all Associates.
- Perform training assessments to evaluate participants’ learning.
- Report to management any deficiencies in skills/knowledge demonstrated by learners that may impact job performance.
- Maintain existing training materials, supplies and equipment.
- Develop course structure, content, length, etc. to maximize the impact of training.
- Maintaining records on completed training programs.
- Other duties as required.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- Sales training including course creation and facilitation experience in the insurance industry.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of insurance industry experience preferred.
- CIP designation preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Office Products.
- Experience with a Learning Management System, if preferred.
