**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Home Automation Specialist to handle the installation, configuration, and support of residential automation systems in new construction environments. You will be responsible for pre-wiring and finishing systems such as security, networking, surveillance, home audio, home theater, shading and lighting controls. This role requires a balance of technical skill, teamwork, and independent problem-solving.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform pre-wire and final installation for home automation systems during new residential construction.
- Install and configure security systems, surveillance cameras, networking infrastructure, audio systems, home theaters, and lighting controls.
- Collaborate closely with electricians, project managers, and other trades on-site to ensure seamless integration of systems.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners and other stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces and documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in home automation, low voltage wiring, or related field.
- Strong understanding of residential construction environments and timelines.
- Familiarity with security systems, audio/video distribution, networking, and smart home technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

**Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required)**:

- Certifications from manufacturers or industry groups (e.g., Control4, Crestron, Savant, Lutron).
- Experience with home theater calibration or networking certifications.
