The Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour Hotel is a full service, four-diamond property overlooking Victoria's historic and charming downtown, located just steps from world-class attractions, venues and dining. 236 guest rooms and 5,000 square feet of functional meeting space.

We are currently recruiting for the position of Guest Services Associate. A typical day as a Guest Service Agent may include:

- Welcoming the guest upon arrival.
- Registration of guests including all administrative aspects such as verifying information and processing guest billing and payments.
- Identifying guest needs and proactively working to handle all requests.
- Responding to all guest problems and concerns.
- Ensuring that the guest's expectations are met by delivering quality guest service in a prompt and professional manner while recognizing that each guest is unique.
- Contributing to the teamwork atmosphere within the hotel and to the ongoing improvement in the delivery of quality service at the Front Desk, At Your Service and Concierge Departments.

What you bring to the role:

- Previous hotel experience in a similar position is an asset.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Ability to practice and maintain consistent key standards.
- Demonstrated computer skills.
- Sales and up-selling skills an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Victoria/Vancouver and surrounding areas.
- Ability to work in a Team oriented environment.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work a range of hours including evenings and weekends.
- Must be an effective listener.
- Able to stand for extended periods of time.
