Restaurant Support is an excellent position for someone interested in learning more about service, food and beverage and who is looking at entering the world of Hospitality. Their purpose is to be a direct assistant to the Servers and Hosts by carrying food, cutting and delivering bread, clearing tables, refilling water, interacting with guests and a variety of other tasks.
- Communicate and be an example of Cambridge Mill's core values by demonstrating genuine and thoughtful hospitality in the day-to-day execution of duties.
- Arrive to work promptly with a positive attitude and all necessary tools for the job
- Prepare the dining room for service by setting tables with any decorations, condiments, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Take direction from the dining room and kitchen teams and aid them in setting up any food displays, the bread station, and other areas
- Assist servers in the overall restaurant duties and learn from the best in hospitality.
- Clear and meticulously re-set tables as required
- Maintain guests' table settings by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses.
- Polish cutlery/glassware/plateware as required
- Be aware of food items that may be running low. Run food from the kitchen and replenish dishes as needed
- Ensure there is always sufficient plateware at the food stations, refill as necessary to maintain par levels.
- Maintain excellent flow through the kitchen pass and ensure chit times are within Pearle guidelines
- Ensure dishes are delivered to guests are the correct temperature, presentation, etc,.
- Be aware of any allergies at each table and ensure that you have not provided any misinformation or opportunity for contamination
- Assist in directing and controlling guest traffic to ensure positive flow and minimize confusion
- Relentlessly pursue the importance of “image “, “attention to detail” and “pride of ownership” to best represent the Pearle Hospitality
