Quality Assurance Technician

**DUTIES**:
Ø Perform daily in-process quality control checks and audits on each manufacturing process/stages to ensure product meets specification and customer requirement.
Ø Perform incoming quality control inspection on raw material, backing plates and other components.
Ø Perform product/material testing validation to ensure that products comply with specifications and quality standard.
Ø Support and contribute in resolving quality issues found in production/customer root cause analysis, corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
Ø Review non-conforming products, provide disposition and implement action to address the problem.
Ø Train operators on QC criteria, manufacturing work instructions and enforcement of company procedures and policies.
Ø Complete inspection reports, test reports and other reports required.
Ø Assist Quality Supervisor with the new product introduction, parts qualification, samples preparation and other assigned task.
Ø Work closely with other departments to ensure working in compliance with the
Internal policies and procedures.
**QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS**:
Ø Post-secondary education / diploma or degree in technical / engineering / quality discipline.
Ø Minimum 2 year experience in quality and manufacturing environment with and understanding of the operation and procedures in manufacturing industry.
Ø Knowledge and understanding of quality control procedures and quality tools.
Experience in interpreting engineering drawings, specification, and use measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.). CMM experience considered an asset.
Ø Excellent problem solving skills, troubleshooting ability and experienced decision maker.
Ø Strong ability to multi-task, timely decisions and change priorities quickly under pressure. Ability to work and make decision independently.
Ø Strong to organizational skills, self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Ø Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
Ø Self-driven, ability to work with little direct supervision.
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ø Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
