**The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Manager of Commercial, the Joint Venture Representative is responsible for managing all active joint venture partnerships. This role's goal is to support both customers who utilize the assets, as well as our business partners who jointly own the assets.Â
Your success in this role requires an ability to think strategically, work independently, have an in-depth understanding of the agreements which govern the partnerships, knowledge of operations of the assets, efficiently develop solutions to complex problems in a collaborative manner, and coordinate and negotiate to achieve '˜win-win' solutions.
**What you'll do**:
- Management of all Joint Venture partnerships in operation
- Management of existing contractual customer business for assets which fall under your accountability
- Cultivate and improve upon our existing customer & partner relationships through continuing to build on the level of transparency and trust
- Provide interpretation and governance around contractual obligations
- Coordinate with various teams to produce reporting materials on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to provide our partners with the required information as per the agreements in place
- Actively participate in operating budget formation, management, and communication
- Participate and present in customer, partner, and other external stakeholder meetings on both a regular cadence and ad hoc basis
- Support the development of initiatives to create operational opportunities and efficiencies with both internal and external stakeholders
- Support and consult in the development and execution of commercial opportunities with new and existing customers
- Facilitate resolution of customer service issues, often of a commercial or technical nature
- Leverage comprehensive knowledge of business drivers, priorities of our business partners, competitors, and customers to inform and build on asset strategies
- Position TC Energy as the pipeline company of choice for customers and the preferred transportation provider for liquids in North America
- This position involves interaction with customers & partners located outside of Calgary; mínimal business travel is expected
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Post-Secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience within the midstream oil & gas industry in a Commercial/Marketing, Asset Management, or Operational capacity
- Understanding and experience with commercial aspects of joint ventures including agreements, negotiation skills, and relationship building/maintenance
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to establish effective and relevant relationships with customers and internal clients to achieve business goals
- Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present to a variety of audiences
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to identify, develop and implement business opportunities
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to find creative solutions to complex problems
- Working knowledge of South Bow's pipeline system and an ability to make service recommendations based on customer needs
