Prep Cook/line Cook

The primary responsibilities of a Prep Cook include:
- Assist First Cook with meal preparation
- Perform routine kitchen tasks
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, prepping salads etc.
- Measure ingredients and seasonings
- Prepare meals as outlined on the menu
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves in an organized and accessible fashion
- Ensure that all food and supplies are stored and sanitized properly
- Comply with Health and Safety under the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Comply with safe food handling and safe handling of cleaning chemicals (W.H.M.I.S)
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
- Reliability and flexibility
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Position requires considerable walking and standing for long periods
- A current Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check
Scheduled shifts will include evenings and weekends
