We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to menu specifications
  • Support the cooking process by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and handling procedures are followed
  • Support menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming service periods
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools
  • Assist with food service tasks such as plating, garnishing, and serving when needed
  • Follow dietary guidelines and assist with dietary department requirements as necessary
  • Contribute to maintaining a hygienic environment by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and cooking areas regularly

Experience

  • Previous experience in dietary aide roles or dietary departments is preferred
  • Experience with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with food handling safety standards and proper sanitation practices is essential
  • Background in restaurant, catering, or food service environments will be advantageous
  • Culinary experience including knife skills, meal preparation, and food industry knowledge is beneficial
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
