**Corporate Controller**

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this position will be directly involved in all accounting and
finance related activities of the company, including financial policies, practices, and controls. The Corporate
Controller will work directly with management and will guide financial decisions and protect assets by
establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies, controls and procedures.
Role
- Review and approve month-end journal entries and manage month-end process
- Review and approve monthly financial statements and present to Director of Finance and CFO
- Oversee and approve the monthly preparation of multi-company/multi-currency financial statement
consolidations
- Review and approve foreign exchange transaction accounting
- Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget by meeting with department managers
- Preparation of budget report and analysis of results/variances and initiating corrective action
- Manage and implement rigorous internal controls
- Implement various performance indicators as required by management
- Analyze financial performance and propose solutions to maintain and develop the profitability of activities
- Ensure continuous improvements in accounting system (Microsoft Dynamics 365- Great Plains) by participating in implementing new modules and developing reports as required
- Maximize the use of technology to ensure streamlined and improved processes
- Coordinate and manage annual year-end audits and external audits
- Support divisional controllers in day-to-day challenges and provide recommendations for continuous improvements
- Provide documentation to external consultants, as required, for annual US tax filing
- Develop, maintain and nurture good relationships with auditors and financial institutions
- Foster a positive, harmonious and professional work environment
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as require

**Desired skills and expertise**
- 7+ years of experience as a Corporate Controller or Senior Accounting Manager
- CPA certification
- Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Be a leader/mentor to division controllers and analysts
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Great Plains) is an asset
- Team player
- Maintains confidentiality and has a strong work ethic
- Bilingual, English and French
