**Summary**
The Payroll Specialist manages payroll for Sunrise Soya Foods and Produce Market, ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on a timely basis. This role is also responsible for maintaining employee information in the HRIS system, preparing payroll journals and providing payroll information to the finance department as needed to support accurate cost accounting for the business.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process full cycle semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll for salary and hourly employees
- Maintain updated employee information in HRIS system for payroll processing and HR records
- Run national reports for management and finance as needed
- Participate in related mandatory government payroll surveys
- Calculate and prepare quarterly WSBC and monthly WSIB remittances and annual reconciliation for WSBC and BC EHT.
- Support administration of employee group benefit and savings plans and submission of WSBC employer’s reports of injury or occupational disease (Form-7)
- Reconcile year-end T4s.
- Maintain payroll files and support transition to digital document management and automation.

**Qualifications**:

- University or College diploma preferably in a related field
- Have one or more Canadian payroll certifications (minimum requirement is PCP)
- Minimum of five years of related payroll experience
- Experience using UKG and/or ADP is preferred
- Payroll experience with salary and hourly pay
- Strong mathematical skills and detail oriented
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills.

Pay: $65,000.00-$78,000.00 per year
