Accounting Assistant

Assists management accountant in the following tasks, but not limited to process supplier invoices, payments, staff expenses, customer payments. Preparation and input of GST/HST return. Other accounting-related duties as and when required. Must have 2 years plus experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, MS Excel proficiency. Excellent verbal, written skills, attention to detail and accuracy.
**Daily Tasks**
- Entering the bills to different companies
- Creating invoices based on Purchase Order or Sales Confirmation
- Be able to create new vendor and customer file in Quickbooks
**Weekly Tasks**
- Manage Accounts Receivable Collection
- Perform Bank Reconciliation for all accounts
- Create folder labels, organize filing system
- Update sales report on bi-weekly basis
- Update Revenue allocation schedule
**Monthly Tasks**
- Prepare expense reports for the management, consultants and representative office
- Review Payroll Liability account to ensure the balance is correct
- Entering Credit Card Transactions, reconcile the balance and make payment
- Perform Bank Reconciliations for all accounts
- Update Foreign Exchange table
- Update Cash Flow management chart
- Prepare royalty report, commission report
- Prepare revenue BVA
**Quarterly Tasks**
- To reconcile balance sheet accounts
- To reconcile HST account for quarterly filing
- To assist quarterly Financial Statement reporting
**Annual**
- Assist various tasks as required for yearend audit.
- Update Annual Financial Statement
**Administration**
- Prepare Board Meeting Agenda
- Schedule Board meetings
- Order or purchase office supplies
- Organize company events
- Assist ad hoc projects
**Experience**:
- Accounts Receivable: 2 years (required)
- Accounts payable: 2 years (preferred)
- accounting: 2 years (required)
- General Accounting: 2 years (required)
- Bookkeeping: 2 years (preferred)
Additional Duties:
- Recordkeeping
- Account reconciliation
