**About Us**: Edison Engineers Inc. specializes in the repair and restoration of existing buildings, primarily focusing on residential structures (highrise, midrise, lowrise, townhouses, detached houses), with some commercial and government projects. We pride ourselves on delivering comprehensive and accurate construction documents that meet our clients' needs while ensuring efficiency and mínimal changes in the scope of work.

**Role Overview**: This role is able to work out of any of our 4 locations (Dundas, Cambridge, London, Markham). As an AutoCAD Technician, you will be responsible for the daily preparation of design documents for a variety of projects, including commercial, retail, municipal, and other civil/architectural designs. Working closely with the Drafting Manager, you will ensure that all construction documents are precise, clear, and aligned with Edison Engineers' drafting standards and design philosophy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare civil and architectural construction documents that meet permitting requirements and allow for efficient project execution.
- Integrate multiple key factors, such as municipal regulations, client design criteria, and sound engineering practices, into your design work.
- Collaborate with the Drafting Manager, Project Managers, Senior Project Managers, and Administrative Staff to maintain strong team relationships.
- Exhibit exceptional communication skills and attention to detail while handling multiple projects simultaneously.

**Qualifications**:

- Associate’s degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in civil or architectural design, with the ability to be self-sufficient during periods of absence by senior staff.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp (or equivalent rendering experience).
- Mechanical drafting experience is an asset but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player mindset.
