Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute (“CHEO RI”) is the research arm of the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario - Ottawa Children’s Treatment Centre (“CHEO”) and an affiliated institute of the University of Ottawa. **CHEO RI has an immediate requirement for a Human Resources Administrator.**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Administrator will assist with the day-to-day efficient operation of the Human Resources Department. Tasks include:
- Advise and assist managers and researchers with contract extensions/renewals and terminations
- Provide support to the contingent workforce that makes up the Research team
- Provide employment confirmation letters
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department regarding invitations to various events such as orientation, café connection and latte and learn sessions
- Assist with the Research Award Program
- Provide back-up to other administrative tasks including human resource projects and improvements
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor
**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILL AND ABILITIES**
- Post-secondary education in human resources (Essential)
- Capacity to handle confidential information with integrity (Essential)
- Ability to interact with a high level of professionalism (Essential)
- Strong general knowledge of payroll/HR information systems (Essential)
- High energy with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment (Essential)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize a large workload (Essential)
- Able to work under tight deadlines (Essential)
- Able to be flexible with working hours in order meet deadlines (Essential)
- Proactive in looking for new ways to improve and work more efficiently (Essential)
- Proficiency in computer skills (Microsoft Office) (Essential)
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and organizational skills (Essential)
- Demonstrated collegiality, professionalism and team skills (Essential)
- Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to work independently (Essential)
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset (preferred)
**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Flexibility to work remotely in a hybrid work model that would include both remote work and on-site work.
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Eligible to work in Canada;
- Compliance with CHEO RI’s Universal COVID-19 Vaccination Policy; and
- Police Record Check.

Nous sommes à la recherche d’un professionnel des ressources humaines très motivé qui travaillera en étroite collaboration avec le directeur des ressources humaines et le coordonnateur des ressources humaines, ainsi qu’avec d’autres membres du Bureau des services de recherche. La personne retenue devra avoir une connaissance approfondie des programmes de recherche et de la dotation en personnel afin de fournir une gamme complète de services de consultation en ressources humaines aux chercheurs, aux scientifiques et au personnel de recherche.
