**Hours**: 4 day work week, 8:00am - 4:30 pm (flexible)

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare payroll by sorting and coding payroll forms from branches
- Process transactions such as new employees, terminations, employee changes
- Verify and fix any errors that may be found after proofing
- Create journal entries and posts entries in the general ledger
- Prepare and process month-end and year-end activities such as wage accruals and tax forms
- Maintain all employee payroll/files and ensure proper filing accordingly
- Respond to internal and external inquiries concerning payroll, employment standards, reference letters requested, staff files, etc.
- Other duties as assigned

**Ideal Qualifications**:

- 2 - 3 years of experience processing payroll and related administration
- Experience servicing 400+ employees for multiple provinces preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, Payworks, and with data entry
- Knowledge of inter-provincial standards and multiple payroll processing
- Basic accounting knowledge (debits/credits)
- Experience with benefit administration an asset
- Canadian Payroll Association education (PCP or CPM) an asset
- High aptitude for numbers and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
