**Veterinary Assistant**

The cardiology service at **Vancouver Animal Emergency and Referral Centre **is welcoming a dedicated **Veterinary Assistant **to our team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Animal care such as feeding, walking, and cleaning kennels;
- Animal handling for the Specialist and Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to perform examinations and procedures;
- Assisting with positioning for radiographs, bloodwork, EKG and ultrasound;
- Lab sample processing;
- File organization and maintenance;
- Other duties as directed by the Specialist or RVT;
- **The position is extremely dynamic, and offers an interesting and diverse day-to-day experience Plus we have an amazing team**_

**Schedule**:
Veterinary assistants in our hospital are encouraged to grow and expand their skill sets. We offer continuing education opportunities at the hospital throughout the year, in addition to those offered locally in the community.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
