**Position Overview**:
In the role of Veterinary Assistant/Exam Room Assistant, you will play a pivotal part in supporting our veterinarians and ensuring the seamless operation of our clinic. This position provides an opportunity for you to work closely with our veterinary professionals, aid in examinations and treatments, and provide exceptional care to our patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records.
- Assisting veterinarians during examinations and procedures.
- Preparing examination rooms and equipment.
- Handling and restraining pets as needed.
- Administering medications as directed.
- Assisting with laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
- Upholding cleanliness and hygiene in examination rooms and the clinic.
- Communicating with clients and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Educating clients on pet care and preventive health measures.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
- A strong passion for animal welfare and care.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
- A compassionate and empathetic approach toward animals and their owners.
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC V6J 1L8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Veterinary Assistant: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: In person
