Are you a professional and experienced Asphalt Concrete Pavement Testing professional with high attention to detail? Are you looking to join a company where you can make a positive contribution and are a valued member of a team?
We are now hiring for a **Asphalt Control Technologist **to join our team, **G&C Asphalt **Based out of **North Battleford, SK, **this position requires travel to various jobsites to ensure the high quality work our customers are accustomed to continue to be achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Control and manage contract specifications on small to multimillion dollar projects while maintaining high and consistent accuracy
- Test road construction materials such as asphalt concrete pavement and granular base course
- Provide guidance to technologists working with you on crushing and paving projects
- Ensure you are in compliance with testing standards
- Provide technical advice during bidding. i.e. asphalt contents, gradation splits and suitability of aggregates
Qualifications/ Requirements
- Must have a valid class 5 driver's license
- Prior experience working within a paving company is a definite asset
- Minimum 3 years of construction related experience in the Quality Control field
Working Conditions
- Out of town travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan and the Northwest Territories as required and may consist of remote locations, accommodations and Live Out Allowance may be applicable.
- Willing to work overtime, as required
- Use of personal protection equipment is required.
- Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol policy, including testing requirements.
- Must comply with all company policies.
- Must be able to work respecting safety policies and procedures.
- Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended.
- Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
