**We are currently seeking to hire a Food, Safety and Quality Compliance Officer at our Hamilton location Must be flexible to work AM or PM shifts.**
**Who We Are**:
Sierra Supply Chain Services provides protein (poultry, beef, pork) solutions to the food processing and distribution sector. We simplify supply chain services and provide expanding value to the protein sector across our three locations in Brampton, Hamilton, and Mississauga.
**What You will Be Doing/Position Details**:
**The FSQ Compliance Officer is responsible for the administration of Quality Assurance functions**:
- Monitor the plant for GMPs, SOPs, personal hygiene, product handling for temperatures (raw materials, in process, or finished), storage, rotation, weights, shapes and other product specifications, as well as HACCP requirements
- Ensure SOP(s) and processes on the floor are up to date.
- Adhere to Sierra company policies, GMPS, HACCP, and Occupational Health & Safety Guidelines.
- Enforce the GMP law and make its according to the compliance polices of company
- Daily sign off on HACCP prerequisite and CCP documentation, monthly onsite observations.
- Identifying quality and food safety deficiencies in timely manner.
- Review incoming and outbound paperwork for accuracy and compliance.
**Minimum Requirements**:
- Previous experience in food processing/manufacturing is an asset
- Educational background in Food Safety, Sciences, or related field of study
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, leadership quality and ability to monitor and enforce the rules and regulations.
- Ability to work in AM or PM shifts.
- Comfortable with working conditions: cold environment, smell of meat
