**Annual Salary: $86,927.10 - $108,657.90**

Under the direct supervision of the Director -Indigenous Relations, the Manager - Program Development is responsible for developing ,managing and overseeing programs and projects aimed at advancing strategic priorities (Walking with Humility plan) of the N'doo'owe Binesi Indigenous Health Department. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, monitoring and reporting progress of specific programs and projects within the Indigenous Health department. The manager is responsible for capacity and sustainability development or programs and projects that focus on enhancing safe and culturally sensitive care for clients, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion by supporting staff, physicians and volunteers to work in the spirit of reconciliation and uphold the rights of Indigenous People.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education/Experience**:

- Master's degree preferred in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience relevant to the position
- Minimum 5 years' experience working in healthcare setting
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage complex projects involving multiple agencies, budgets and stakeholders
- Knowledge and/or experience of Indigenous health services and service delivery models (i.e. regional, provincial and national policy/funding issues)
- Knowledge of the current and changing dynamics of the health care system, related support services, and health equity for Indigenous populations
- Demonstrated knowledge of community resources and community needs, special knowledge of First Nation and urban Indigenous community needs
- Experience developing, implementing and sustaining network/partnerships
- Strategic planning, project management, human resources, program and financial management experience, including demonstrated business skills, as well as experience in program and system evaluation
- An in-depth understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions, worldview, history, ceremonies, and language

- Ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation skills
- Proven ability to establish and maintain co-operative and collaborative relations with private and public officials, superiors, co-workers, and other stakeholders
- Strong project/time management, analytical/critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently, utilizing discretion and sound judgment
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and recognize others; proven ability to share skills and knowledge with others
- Proven acumen in business and financial management
- Ability to identify, understand, and meet/exceed the requirements of internal and external partners
- Proven conflict management abilities and mediation skills
- Committed to ongoing professional and personal development
- Must be competent within the meaning of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

**CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT**
- This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
- Will be required to travel out-of-town from time to time
