**Material Handler**

Reporting to the Materials Supervisor, the Material Handler is responsible for servicing all manufacturing areas by bringing in and/or removing all materials, goods, products, and equipment required to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted flow of production.

**What does a Material Handler do?**
- Services work cells by bringing and removing production bins, removal of scrap material and retrieval of production supplies from warehouse.
- Responsible for general housekeeping including clearing of aisles, trailer dock areas, outer areas of production, the compactor, bailer and the removal of plant garbage.
- Operate lift trucks and tuggers in a safe manner with extra caution to be taken in regards to all other personnel as well as building structures, machinery, and equipment.
- Performs pre-operational checks of forklifts and tuggers to ensure good operating condition.
- Sets priorities and organizes workload, keeping in mind efficiency as well as cleanliness and orderliness.
- Completes all necessary paperwork and assists with production work, packaging and shipping/receiving as required.

**What you bring to the table**
- Valid Forklift/Tugger Certification
- 2 - 3 Years of previous forklift operating experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Strong organizational skills

**Salary information: $20.75/hr (Base Rate)**
- **+ $0.35/hr on Afternoon Shift**
- **+ $0.75/hr on Overnight Shift**
- Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Grinder, Material Handler, Forklift Operator, Forklift, Counter Balance Lift, etc _

**Salary**: $20.75 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed

- Brantford, ON N3S 7W3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
