**Product Manager - Ventilation Products**
As a Product Manager for Ventilation Products at Swegon North America, you will play a pivotal role in defining and executing product strategies, driving innovation, and ensuring our ventilation product line's successful development and market positioning. This role requires a deep understanding of ventilation HVAC systems in commercial segments, market trends, and customer needs, working collaboratively with sales, engineering, marketing, and operations to optimize product offerings and maximize business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Product Strategy & Market Analysis**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy for ventilation products aligned with Swegon's North American business objectives.
- Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and customer insights to identify trends, opportunities, and potential gaps.
- Analyze industry regulations and technological advancements to ensure product compliance and innovation.
- Define product roadmaps, prioritizing enhancements based on business impact, technical feasibility, and customer feedback.
**Product Development & Lifecycle Management**
- Act as the product champion, overseeing the entire lifecycle from conception to market launch and end-of-life strategies.
- Work closely with engineering and R&D teams to define technical requirements and ensure the feasibility of new product developments.
- Prepare business cases for new products, product modifications, and cost reduction initiatives and present them to Swegon's Leadership team.
- Manage pricing strategies by collaborating with sales, operations, and finance teams, utilizing market research and cost analysis.
- Lead product testing, validation, and certification processes in alignment with industry standards.
**Cross-functional Collaboration & Sales Support**
- Partner with the Application Sales Engineering team to provide technical support and guidance on ventilation products.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop compelling product positioning, sales materials, and go-to-market strategies.
- Train internal sales teams and external partners on product features, benefits, and differentiator solutions offerings.
- Work closely with operations and supply chain to ensure optimal inventory levels and production planning.
**Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement**
- Establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and market adoption.
- Gather post-launch feedback from customers and sales teams to drive continuous improvement and future product enhancements.
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical, or HVAC Engineering preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in product management, preferably in HVAC, manufacturing, or building ventilation systems.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market research, pricing strategy, and business case development.
- Technical understanding of ventilation systems, indoor air quality, and HVAC equipment controls offerings.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and product management tools.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% for site visits, training, and industry events.
