**Position Purpose**

The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is the official voice of business in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. With approximately 1,700 member companies that employ more than 100,000 people, we are one of the largest chambers in Canada and among the most influential business organizations in the country. The Chamber supports business success through providing insights on issues, delivering professional development and networking for businesses, and advocating for conditions that keep businesses competitive.

The Membership Services Representative is responsible for prospecting the Edmonton Business community for membership opportunities. The role also includes ongoing engagement of our members while providing world class customer service to prospective members.

**Qualifications**
- 1 to 3 years’ sales experience working in a customer focused organization
- Meeting sales targets and goals
- Prospecting, presentation and Closing skills
- Building client relationships
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing or equivalent preferred
- Proficiency using a CRM
- Availability to include some evenings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Identify and manage opportunities with prospective members through all stages of the sales cycle.
- Assist as required with onboarding services to new members.
- Assist as required with member engagement and recovery calls.
- Manage all prospect and member activity in CRM.
- Promote public awareness of the Chamber’s programs and services to effectively meet the needs of the Edmonton business community.
- Communicate member feedback and insights to the team.
- Source leads through various business partners and through networking.
- Follow-up on all assigned leads.
- Keep Director and team informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual analyses.
- Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
- Miscellaneous administrative duties.

**Reporting Relationship**
- This position reports directly to the Director, Member Services.

**Work Environment**
- The job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and software.

**Physical Demands**
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and manipulative dexterity maybe required. This would require the ability to lift up to10lbs, and bend or stand as necessary.

**Travel**
- Out of city travel is required for work.
- Member site visits is required as necessary.

**Position Type**
- This is a full-time position. Regular full-time working hours are 7.5 hours per day, for a total of 37.5 hours per week Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with 1-hour unpaid lunch period to be taken between 11:30am and 1:30pm.
