**Position Summary**: A survey of Canadian history from Confederation to the present, which addresses key social, cultural and political issues while highlighting the history of Indigenous peoples. Topics include state expansion, modernization, protest and reform, war and society, class, gender and family, racialized identities, and the place of Canada in the world.
