**Job Description** AECOM** is seeking a passionate **Community Engagement and Communication Intern **to be based in **Kitchener, Ontario** to ensure tremendous outcomes from the work we do with our clients.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Assisting multi-disciplinary teams and project managers to develop strategic communication and community engagement plans and activities on behalf of our clients.
- Supporting tracking and reporting on the results of consultation and engagement.
- Assisting with public and stakeholder engagement activities and tactics, including in-person and virtual workshops, advisory committees, community meetings, and public open houses.
- Supporting the development of communication materials including key messages, FAQs, presentations, notices, storyboards, and discussion guides.

- Strong analytical, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills; this role requires continuous interaction with team leaders, client management, and the public.
- Knowledge of the Canadian regulatory and policy context, Federal and Provincial Impact Assessment processes
- Being bilingual in English and French would be an asset
- Experience with government relations, media relations, public relations, stakeholder analysis, and facilitation.
- Knowledge of project coordination/ management concepts and processes.
