Contract Land Agents/coordinators

Aurora Land has been operating in Edmonton since 1997 and is experiencing continued growth and as such we are looking for highly effective individuals to join our team in our Edmonton, AB and Saskatoon, SK offices.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Negotiate with surface rights owners for the acquisition of land rights, right-of-way, damage settlements, rental reviews and lease amendments
- Travel required
- Communicate with key stakeholders throughout the duration of a project such as clients, landowners, regulatory officials, government agencies and project managers
- Work effectively in a team environment while also taking initiative independently
- Conduct thorough site reviews and supporting assessment documentation
- Prepare and update status reports for each ongoing project ensuring accuracy and effective communication of project progress
- Accurately track acquisition work for the purpose of preparing client invoices
- Ability to document terms and conditions
- Experience with Land and Property Rights Tribunal (previously Surface Rights Board) hearings would be an asset
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 3 years field acquisition experience
- Land Agent License, Commissioner for Oaths
- Knowledge of relevant land legislation and regulations
- Public consultation experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational, problem solving and time management skills

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
