**Role Description** This is a volunteer role for a Social Media Marketing Intern. The Social Media Intern will be responsible for creating and executing a cohesive social media strategy, managing social media accounts, and developing engaging content to expand the community of our organization. You will work to ensure brand consistency, increase online presence, and promote our initiatives across various platforms. Considerations Student **as a social media intern or similar role is NOT a requirement. We're happy to work with students looking to build expertise as well. ** Working knowledge of social media platforms, metrics, and best practices **Exposure to the concept of social media management tools and software (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Canva) ** Familiarity with graphic design and content creation **Demonstrated ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy.**

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Ability to work independently and collaboratively.**

Degree or pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.

**Your work will be tracked by tasks and projects delivered within agreed timelines**

**Job Type**: Internship / Co-op

**Salary**: $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Marketing: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Oakville, ON L6H 7B9
