Reporting to the Manager of Learning Technology Ecosystem, this role is responsible for analyzing learning data, evaluating educational technology, and supporting its adoption to enhance student success and instructional effectiveness. By collaborating with faculty, staff, and stakeholders, the analyst helps improve curriculum design, instructional strategies, and learning tools through data analysis and performance evaluation. The role also ensures the accuracy, integrity, and security of learning data while fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making within UVic. **Objectives**: The Learning Technologies and Data Analyst supports the maintenance, adoption and use of learning systems while deriving insights from raw data. The analyst is responsible for: - Supporting the maintenance, use, evaluation and improvement of existing and new learning technologies and integrations, including Brightspace, Echo360, Zoom, TEAMS, Crowdmark, iClicker, and the Online Academic Community - Supporting the needs of the Manager, Learning Technology Ecosystems and the Executive Director of LTSI by providing accurate data support for decisions - Liaising and working collaboratively with clients, user groups, and other campus stakeholders on projects involving teaching with technology; including staff user training and providing support for research requests that may require data from learning technologies - Performs monitoring and monthly testing of platforms to ensure optimal systems functioning as well as the accuracy, integrity, and security of data, and provides support for issues resolution including overseeing the escalation of issues, and improvement requests - Job Requirements This position requires a level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in an educational setting.
