GrainsConnect has an exciting opportunity for an experienced General Manager, Facility Operations at our Reford, Saskatchewan location. The General Manager is responsible for planning and directing all business functions at the terminal to maximize corporate profitability while overseeing facility health and safety, compliance and regulatory requirements and maintaining good relations with growers, suppliers, and the community.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Supervise terminal operations team including coaching, mentoring, performance assessment, training and development, while effectively identifying and sourcing resources
- Reports all relevant business information to head office, which includes information on competitive factors to aid in strategy setting
- Oversee all revenue and cost components of the terminal operating budget
- Collaborate on strategy for grain procurement based on analysis of the local market, budget targets, and customer and prospect data
- Ensures maintenance of the physical facilities and recommends improvements and major capital investments
- Manages all contract maintenance risk and documentation

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years in management or leadership roles with focus on performance management
- Previous experience at a Grain Terminal or related commercial enterprise with experience in grain grading
- Knowledge of physical plant management and marketing
- Extensive knowledge of grain buying and handling
- Negotiation skills

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
