**Hours**: 8 hours/day, 248 days/year

This full-time, permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who values collaboration, takes pride in creating safe and efficient learning environments, and brings both technical and interpersonal strengths to their work.

**What You'll Do**

As a Facility Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the school’s physical environment is welcoming, functional, and safe. You’ll work closely with the principal, lead caretaker, and facilities team to plan and carry out a wide range of maintenance tasks and facility improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Overseeing HVAC operations and maintenance, including diagnosing and calibrating systems
- Performing daily inspections of the building’s exterior and reporting required repairs
- Completing minor equipment repairs and maintenance on cleaning machinery
- Supporting grounds care, including snow removal, grass cutting, and litter control
- Assisting with setup for school events, particularly in the gymnasium
- Collaborating on long-term planning for building operations and safety

- In possession of a valid driver’s license

**Required Qualifications**
- Valid **Fifth Class Power Engineer’s Certificate**:

- Demonstrated experience in HVAC and refrigeration system operation and maintenance
- WHMIS Certification
- General carpentry skills are considered an asset
