Join The EV Host as a Standard Specialist and lead the development of protocols that enhance interoperability and scalability. Become an expert in our core pillars: 1. EV - EVSE communication: J1772, ISO15118-2, -20 2. EVSE - CPO communication: OCPP1.6, OCPP2.0.1 3. CPO - eMSP/Hub communication: OCPI2.1.1, OCPI2.2.1 Influence our organization and the industry, engaging in global EV charging ecosystem working groups. About the Role: - Drive OCPP development within technical groups - Contribute to OCPI development within technical groups - Collaborate with architects, developers, designers, and product owners to ensure ecosystem interoperability - Share industry trends with internal stakeholders - Provide expert insights to our sales and regulatory teams - Identify relevant protocols for participation - Participate in Internal Technical Committees to share knowledge - Contribute to the company’s software solution strategy and business models - Represent us at conferences and events About You: - 2 to 5 years EV industry experience in North America or Europe - Technical degree or strong understanding of communication protocols and internet technologies (Websockets, RESTful API, XMPP, MQTT, etc.) - Proficiency in concepts like Charge Point Operator, eMobility Service Provider, Internet of Things, Smart Charging & Demand Response - Interest in bidirectional charging concept - Good knowledge of digital product development processes including Agile - Ability to translate customer needs into use cases for architects and committees - Collaborative and eager to share knowledge - Mentor and develop team resources - Adapt communication to different audiences **Benefits**: - Competitive salary + equity - Join a passionate, intelligent team - Flexible work arrangements - Contribute to a growing company - Generous health benefits and PTO **"We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity."** **Salary**: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Paid time off - Stock options - Vision care - Work from home Work Location: Remote
