**Job Description**:
**Brief Overview**:
The Technical Writer & Proposal Coordinator will support the Business Development team and contribute their design and technical expertise in Proposals, Pursuits and Pre-Construction projects. This position will assist the Vice President in coordinating, writing, and supporting major Request for Qualifications (RFQs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expression of Interests (EOIs), and Market Sound submissions for CCM projects.
**Responsibilities**:
- Review and develop a detailed understanding of client proposal/bid requirements.
- Develop proposal/bid calendars and responsibility, project, and key individual selection matrices.
- Create and update multiple proposal/bid templates, resume templates, project sheet templates.
- Prepare, edit, and format proposal/bid sections, resumes, and project sheets in preparation for proposal/bid close-out.
- Track and ensure timely proposal/bid deliverables required from internal and external partners, proposal/bid forms, and write-ups from various authors.
- Oversee writing, formatting, and proofing/editing of proposals/bids based on input from multiple authors.
- Review existing proposal/bid content, project work plans, and other relevant sources of information to extract relevant content.
- Prepare proposal/bid write-ups for various construction related topics (methodologies, risk management issues, staff management, work plans, cover letters, and summaries).
- Ensure proposal/bid content is relevant and compliant with client’s proposal/bid specific requirements.
- Deliver final proposal/ bid submissions Print, bind, or submit electronically as required. Ensure binders, USBs, tabs, covers and other required materials are ordered and available for final assembly of the proposal/bid.
- Organize team reviews on behalf of the project team. Schedule team meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and take meeting minutes.
- Implement graphic design and creative solutions to current proposals, communications, documentations, etc.
- Manage and keep current all Project & Pursuits files, templates, data and ensure that input from client and all bid partners is stored on company SharePoint sites.
- Develop documentation in cooperation with Business Development, Design Management and Estimating under the Guidance of the Business Development Team.
- Assist the Pursuits and Business Development team in the creation of client related communications.
- Work directly with the team on Strategic Project Pursuits including taking a leading role on Technical Writing for Project Proposals during the Bid phase.
- Implementation of the proposal process while ensuring all proposal and qualification submissions are of high quality and compliant with requirements.
- Demonstrate an understanding of solicitation documents, identify response deliverables, establish submission schedules, and communicate responsibilities to the team.
- Follow proposal and submission schedules to ensure all tasks are completed by established due dates.
- Check and edit narratives for understanding, grammar, and readability as one voice while ensuring consistency on use of format and terms.
- Support the development of internal and external presentations. Stay current on presentation design trends and update presentations accordingly.
- Develop and maintain a document library for resumes, project fact sheets and other strategic information for current and future use.
- Have a direct hand in working with the Business Development & Pursuits team (in partnership with Estimating) to identify and pursue construction projects that can positively impact our communities.
- Perform regular compliance checks on all submittal documents.
- Develop JV logos, binder, and tab designs and present to consortium, if required.
- Assist the VP and the President with ad hoc organizational related activities that require presentations and technical writing expertise.

- Post-secondary education in Business, Communications, Marketing, Architecture or Construction degree/ diploma.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse group of teams.
