**About the Role**

At LakeCity Works, we believe that meaningful work has the power to change lives. As an **Employment Navigator**, you’ll play a vital role in guiding individuals on their journey to employment by helping them uncover their strengths, explore opportunities, and overcome barriers. This role is about more than finding jobs—it’s about fostering confidence, independence, and connection to community.

Working collaboratively with case managers, community partners, and employers, you’ll be part of a supportive team that provides personalized, one-on-one guidance to help people prepare for, secure, and maintain meaningful employment.

**What You’ll Do**
- Facilitate skills identification, career development strategies, and education or training pathways.
- Share up-to-date labour market information, job opportunities, and occupational requirements.
- Partner with social workers, case workers, occupational therapists, residential counsellors, and other supports to provide wraparound services.
- Advocate with employers, educators, and training providers to open doors for participants.
- Use tools like LaMPSS and other databases to track progress, complete assessments, and provide accurate reporting.
- Take on additional duties as needed to support the program's success and the well-being of its participants.

**Backgrounds That Could Be a Great Fit**

This role could be ideal for someone who has worked in:

- **Human Resources** (recruitment, employee relations, or workforce planning)
- **Employment Services** (career counselling, job coaching, employment programs)
- **Education and Training** (adult education, career advising, skills development programs)
- **Social Services** (case management, housing support, vocational rehabilitation)
- **Business or Customer Service** (experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting teams with career development)

If you have experience supporting others in career exploration, navigating the job market, or advocating for people in workplace or training settings, you’ll bring valuable skills to this role.

**Additional Information**
- Vulnerable Sector and Criminal Record Checks are required.
- Reliable access to transportation is needed for community engagement.
- Physical requirements: ability to walk, stand, and sit for up to 60 minutes at a time and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs unaided.
