We currently have an employment opportunity for a full time **Reservations Sales Agent** to join our team.
Shifts will be daytime hours only, on a mix of weekdays and weekends.
The position reports directly to the Reservations Manager.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Answer incoming reservation calls in a friendly, efficient and professional manner;
- Knowledge of sell rates, packages and groups available for any given dates when guests inquire;
- Assist Reservations Manager with group reservations, coordinating and completion of tasks relating to groups, including entry of rooming lists, room assignments, creating group masters and maintaining group blocks, etc.;
- Process pre-payment for reservations and packages and ensure all package items are delivered;
- Maintain consistent communication flow between Reservations and Front Desk;
- Maintain guest history in the property management system and ensure all relevant departments are aware of special requirements/requests;
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely and complete manner;
- Complete daily filing and ensuring work areas are kept tidy and organized.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Minimum 1 Year previous Hotel Front Office / Reservations experience;
- Exceptional organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
- Able to prioritize, multitask and display sound business acumen while delivering the highest levels of customer service;
- Internet and Microsoft Office 365 knowledge;
- Detail oriented and numerical aptitude is a must;
- Ability to work under deadline pressures;
- A Post-secondary education in a tourism or hospitality field is an asset;
- Previous Opera Cloud experience is an asset
