Reservations Agent

As a valuable member of the Pinnacle Hotel Harbourfront, the Reservations Agent works closely with all hotel departments in an accurate and efficient manner, while delivering authentic and memorable experiences to our guests. Reporting directly to the Regional Director of Revenue, the Reservations Agent handles all hotel reservations-related services.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Answer reservation enquiries in a prompt and professional manner, identify guest needs and proactively make recommendations.
- Optimize average daily rates through effective upselling techniques.
- Ensure details are correctly entered into reservation systems.
- Update reservation traces, enter rooming lists, run daily reports, and set up billing details.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all aspects of the hotel, including, however not limited to, features and services provided, VIP groups, and room types.
- Immediately take ownership of all guest issues as they arise.
- Communicate pertinent guest information and requests to the appropriate department.
- Perform additional duties, as assigned.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
- Must be self-directed, motivated, and demonstrate exceptional customer service, interpersonal, sales and problem-solving skills.
- A strong team player who leads with empathy and a genuine sense of helpfulness.
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and openly in all interactions (verbal and written).
- Must be able to perform under pressure while dealing with a variety of challenges and diverse personalities.
- Knowledge of Downtown Vancouver & surrounding area, and local attractions an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Opera Cloud, and Passkey software an asset.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet the business needs including weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Must already possess all necessary documentation to work legally in Canada.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar capacity, preferably in a sales related environment
- Education: University Degree or College Diploma in Hospitality considered an asset.
- Hotel experience is an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $21.14-$28.19 per hour
