**AMJ Campbell** is currently seeking **Experienced Drivers (Class 5, 3, or 1) Furniture Movers**for our Commercial Division.

This is a full-time position.

**Job Overview**

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Must be able to clear a Criminal Background Check.
- Require minimum 1 year of moving experience.
- Experience in using hand and electrical tools to assemble furniture, is a great asset.
- **Must be able to work various shifts**:day, night, overtime and/or weekends plus occasionally out-of-town work.
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to converse with the general public.
- CSA-approved steel toe boots are required.
- Training opportunities available.
- Carry a valid class 5, 3 or 1 Alberta licence.
- Provide a clean Drivers Abstract.
- Ability to lift, push or pull equipment/merchandise weighing between 50 to 200 lbs and occasionally moves involve stair carry.
- Must be able to Tag and List Shipments.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- **Packing and Preparation**:

- Disassembly; Taking apart large furniture and/or equipment, such as desks, workstations, shelving units, etc for easier transportation.
- Packing; Ensuring all items are packed securely to prevent any damage.
- Labeling; Marking boxes, furniture, and equipment.
- **Transportation and Logistics**:

- Loading and Unloading; Safely loading and unloading items into and out of trucks or moving vehicles.
- Routing; Planning the most efficient and safe route for the move.
- Special Handling; For fragile, oversized, or valuable items, ensuring they are handled with extra care.
- **Setup at the New Location**:

- Unpacking and organizing; Unpacking items and arranging them according to the plan and specifications provided by the client. This may include setting up desks, arranging furniture, or reassembling disassembled items.
- Reinstalling Equipment; Reconnecting or reinstalling machinery, or other specialized equipment.
- Ensuring Functionality; Confirming that all items are in working order after the move, including checking for damage or malfunction.
- **Post-Move Services**:

- Cleaning Up; Removing all packing materials, debris, and any leftover items from the move, leaving the space tidy and ready for use.
- Damage Reporting; Notifying the client of any damages that may have occurred during the move and providing required documentation back to AMJ’s Customer Service team.
- **Customer Service and Communication**:

- Clear Communication; Keeping the client apprised throughout the move.
- Problem Solving; Handling unexpected issues, while ensuring the clients needs are met.
- Flexibility; Accommodating any changes or additional requests that may arise during the move.

**Schedule**:

- Variable, hourly
- Monday to Friday, with weekend and overtime opportunities.
