Position Summary
The Human Resources Intern will assist the Human Resources Clerk with the facilitation of the internal and external recruitment process for the hospital. The Intern will also assist in the administrative functions of the HR department, including filing, correspondence, answering and/or redirecting inquires as appropriate.
**Qualifications**:
- A Human Resources diploma or post-graduate certificate (or in progress) is required.
- Advanced computer skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
- Previous administrative experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, in situations that may require tact, diplomacy and discretion.
- Must possess initiative, ability to organize and co-ordinate, excellent interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to new situations/challenges
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize a heavy workload and multi-task.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to provide exceptional service.
- Demonstrated appreciation and respect for protocol, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a teamwork environment.
- Experience working in a hospital environment is an asset.
- Satisfactory work performance and attendance record required.

As a condition of employment, new employees are required to complete an employment health assessment and must be cleared by the Occupational Health and Safety Team prior to orientation.
As a condition of employment, you are required to submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to the Hospital's Occupational Health and Safety department.
