**Description**:
The **PR & Communications Manager** ensures that the brand and product message is clear, consistent and engaging. This role is responsible for identifying the key messaging and stories attached to new product launches, core product positioning and the brand story, as well as creating the push strategy to ensure these messages are told through earned media, our campaigns and any supporting agencies. They build the annual PR and communications strategy based on brand and business objectives, identify and advise on brand reputation opportunities and risks, and are responsible for philanthropic and sustainability projects that support Saje’s goals.

Through day to day functions, the** PR & Communications Manager** contributes to maintaining and strengthening Saje’s culture; proactively engaging in behaviours that align with Saje’s values: Wellness, Growth, Celebration, Greatness and Belonging.

**Responsibilities**:
STRATEGY & REPORTING
- Leads Saje’s PR Strategy for key marketing within North America to amplify brand campaigns and product drops in key markets for the brand.
- Manage, Report and Analyze Key KPI’s on behalf of the PR team on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis
- Own and manage PR budget, including monthly agency expenses, product samples, mailer costs, and shipping fees

CONTENT & COMMUNICATIONS
- Creation and execution of PR Channel Plans for all marketing initiatives throughout the year.
- Create and own the evolution of all media and press Materials including but not limited to media kit, press product catalogues, pitches, messaging guides, press releases.
- Proactively identify issues that create risk for Saje and develop strategic communications plans to protect brand reputation / develops messaging for all DE escalations; identifies and works with key stakeholders across the business, including the Director of PR, CX Manager, Regulatory, Quality Assurance, Product.
- Be a Quick and Constant Learner who is hungry to know everything about the always changing communications landscape, focusing on PR tactics that move the needle.
- Demonstrate integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Works with in-house Event and Influencer Teams to lead the creation and execution of all media and influencer experiences in key markets.

LEADERSHIP & RELATIONSHIPS
- Maintains and leverages strong partnerships with our Influencer, Education, Campaigns, Content, Social, and Community teams to execute strategic tactics that amplify PR programming.
- Develop and maintain authentic and meaningful relationships with key media, thought leaders, and high-profile connections, primarily in Canada.
- In-house lead for Saje’s relationship with US PR Agency; develops and monitors clearly defined PR goals to ensure consistency and overall account success to achieve overall PR objectives
- Effective management and development of PR and Digital Engagement Teams
- Creates a team environment where all Team Members consistently experience a sense of belonging and inclusion

**Applicant Requirements**:

- You have 5+ years of Experience in the PR, Communications or Journalism field with a focus on media relations, writing, and leading events. Experience in the retail, journalism, wellness fields considered an asset.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline is an asset.
- You are able to lift boxes, set up product displays, pack products for shipping, move equipment, etc.
